Karen Sloan
Growing up at Menlo Park Presbyterian Church fostered a meaningful personal relationship with Christ, but it was only when I went to Fuller seminary that I began to understand what being Presbyterian meant. For my Fuller years I was active at a small multi-ethnic Presbyterian church that was going through a process of Appreciative Inquiry. This past fall I was ordained to working in campus ministry and my first book Flirting with Monasticism was published. When I came across Emergent about three years ago I was overjoyed to connect with other people asking similar questions, and keep returning to Emergent for more conversations. That’s some of Presbymergent me – thank you for asking.
Seth Thomas
Seth Thomas is active at First Presbyterian Church of Bellingham, WA, where he works on staff at the INN University Ministries. The INN serves the college community of Western Washington University, helping students experience community, engage in leadership, and transition into adult expressions of faith. Seth is an avid reader, web designer, home brewer, and is married to a wonderful elementary school teacher named Stacy.
