Are any of you aware of any emerging congregations in upstate New York, particularly near Albany?

    Artisan Church in Rochester. I don’t know if they call themsevles Emergent, but the worship service I went to had some Emergent feeling to it. http://www.artisanchurch.com/

    Westminster Presbyterian in Lakewood/Jamestown NY is emergent/emerging. If you’d like more info I’d be happy to help.

    My family and I just recently started a tending a new church plant, at this point it’s really a house church due to the small size. It’s in the Albany area (Loudonville, currently).

    I wouldn’t necessarily say that it’s an “emerging/emergent church” however they are definitely thinking about church in new ways, and are very friendly to the ideas of many of the more progressive or emerging authors (Brian McLaren, NT Wright, etc.)
