Live…from Nashville!
Yeah, mostly I’ve always wanted to say those words. When I was a teenager, my sole life-ambition was to graduate from high school, move to Nashville, and become a studio musician.
So I’m finally here (I did bring my guitar!), but it’s for the National Presbyterian Evangelism Conference. The convention is at the Gaylord Opryland Resort, which is rather enormous and otherworldly. Fellow presbymergent and conference participant Shawn desribes the setting and offers some cogent reflections on “Presbyterians and Evangelism” over on his his blog.
Presbymergent is hosting several parties here throughout the weekend, so if you’re here, let’s hang out. On Friday, we’re meeting for lunch @ Findley’s Irish Pub (in the hotel) from 11:30 to 1:30. Also, throughout the conference, we’ll be hosting morning prayer, spiritual practice times, and late night “Rambling House” gatherings for conversation and drink. For more information, times, and/or locations, grab a copy of our “presbymergent parties” schedule at the registration desk.
For those just now joining us from the conference, welcome to the conversation, and feel free to jump right in!
