Thank you for the link to the Bolger interview. It clarified concepts and distinctions for me in a way nothing else has. I now feel like I get what emerging/emergent is about, and how it relates to current denominational efforts toward being missional. I particularly appreciate that the interview wasn’t clouded by what I would call, for lack of a better phrase, the “liberal/conservative polarity angst”.

  3. I’m glad you liked it, Mark. I think it is about the most lucid and clarifying discussion I have come across.

  4. The best single presentation of these issues I’ve seen anywhere. Non-pretentious, well researched, clear. Thanks so much for pointing to it here. I’ve linked to it on the blog I tend for emerging folk in the United Methodist Church (http://emergingumc.blogspot.com)– and have given y’all credit for pointing me there.
